Job Summary.

Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system according to Standard Operating Practices (SOP).
Assisting in the development and reviewing of the company safety and health procedures related to site, communicate and enforce these policies with all personnel on site, including enforcing the use of personnel protective equipment (PPE)
Participate and coordinate fire fighting during fire outbreak. Also react to all emergency and security challenges within the plant
Carrying out regular and periodic maintenance of fire fighting appliances and equipment and makes recommendations for replacement of faulty ones to management. Check and verify all safety equipment supply by contractors before acceptance by management.
Conducting regular inspections of plants and facilities to avoid fire outbreak, address all safety concerns and attend to workers safety complaints including checking employee’s competence.
Receiving and attending to fire emergency calls in the control room and turned out firemen to the scene of fire while also making contact with other external security agencies that will be of help during the emergency
Inspecting fire extinguishers to repair faulty ones, replacement of expired ones and educating workers on their usage during emergencies.
Designing and participating in all training including fire evacuation drill, safety and basic fire training for staff, conduct HSE orientation and induction for new employees and on the job training.
Perform cooling standby and fire watch of all kinds for all sensitive jobs and hot work and issuing of PPE to staff and ensuring their continuous availability.
Investigating all fire and security incident, prepared report and presentation at management meeting, and taking appropriate actions to address root cause, shared lesson learnt and prevent reoccurrence.
