Between the Receiving Department & Inventory Control: 2 Exempt Associates & 59 Nonexempt Associates. As Receiving Manager it was my responsibility to oversee the timely processing of all Purchase Orders. On average the Receiving Group would process in between 3.5M - 4M daily. Receiving accuracy as a percentage of units received during the second quarter 2003 = .01%.
As Inventory Control Manager it was my responsibility to oversee the Inventory Control Group. Maximum In-house Inventory Value = $99M against an annual sales of $2.3B ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Realigned the first and third shift Receiving Operation into one first shift operation. I was able to decrees the needed manpower by 10 FTEs.
In the fall of 1999 MicroWarehouse Distribution Center took a step forward and moved from three warehouses that were being run with 1980’s technologies into a showcase, state of the art facility. This move, however, did have major setbacks. The first PI in November 1999 would show a net shrinkage of approximately $1M against an in-house inventory of $88M. As Manager in charge of inventory integrity is was of the highest priority that this number be placed in check immediately. September 2003: With a 24-hour advance notice for a PI we were able to book a $2,500 shrinkage or .01% of holding inventory.

Reporting to Director of Receiving & Logistics 1996 (July) - 1999 (Sept.) Given the great deal of autonomy I had in this position I was able to work with a vast spectrum of employees and disciplines, from the hourly on the warehouse floor up to executive vice presidents. Major aspects of this position were to aid the Director of Receiving / Logistics and other members of Senior Management plan and design new facilities or reengineer existing facilities.
