07/09- 03/12 Programmer – WHI Solutions Inc., Rye Brooke, NY

Ported SCO/Unix system to Centos Linux for the Auto parts warehouse system. Maintain existing and enhance code for the same system keeping both SCO and LINUX versions working. Added new features for the product. The majority of the system is written in C with a few third party languages to enhance.

Maintain existing and enhance code for both in-house and clients using Business Basic on HP-UX UNIX. As well as HTML, JAVA Scripts, SQL server.

Responsible for the data integrity of all the databases in the foundation. Support and correct any problems that arise. Also write code to enhance searching and reporting operations. Sources used for these enhancements are SQL Server and VB.NET.

Provided design and analyst work for other department needs. Responsible for programming staff and operations in the electronic media claims department. Developedt the Medicare claims entry systems for both part A and part B claims. Provided design and analyst work for other department needs for general operations and on the NCR tower, Digital 5000, IBM 6000 UNIX based machines. Served as the system administrator for these machines. Have been responsible for junior personal, consultants and temporary people in a project leader roll.

07/87- 09/90 Consultant - Howard Systems International, Farmington, CT.

@ Aetna Used the C programming language utilizing the C-Worthy interface package to develop two major claims entry system for Aetna's Medicare systems department. Responsible for design through completion.

@ IBM Part of a team to port IBM's AIX on the IBM-RT to the PS/2 Model 80. Main responsibilities were the print queue, the qdaemon, and back ends to the spooler such as piobe and lp. Also ported the installp routines, cflow routines which interfaced with cc, lex, yacc, and lint.

@ Ashton Tate tested the install and printer setup routines for their word processor, MultiMate.

Responsibilities included using an automatic testing program for repetitive testing. Traced errors in code to aid development group in making desired changes.

10/85- 06/87 System Programmer - Kastle Systems Inc. Arlington, VA.

Developed new software for Kastle's operating system using Macro 11 assembler. Kastle is responsible for the security of hundreds of buildings in the Washington DC. Area, using a custom real-time energy management and security system.

01/84- 09/85 Software Engineer - Bunker Ramo, Trumbull, Ct.

Used ‘C’ running on UNIX, modified, tested, and debugged existing programs. Designed, wrote code and documentation for new programs specifically related to testing application systems and software. Designed an automated test system to simulate multiple terminals running from one machine.

11/81-12/83 Programming Manager - American Fabric Company, Bridgeport, CT.

Wrote programs using C and Basic on the RSX 11M operating system. Delegated work assignments to the programming staff and assisted when needed. Responsibilities included organizing and determining future projects. Also responsible for equipment purchases for the department.
