PROFILE
A responsible technical or maintenance related position in engineering, utilizing diverse strengths in analysis and problem solving of electronic and mechanical applications. Diverse experience in Microelectronics, Battery and Paper coating related technology, Servo Hydraulic and associated testing of Suspension parts, Noise and Vibration testing of Suspension, Mount and Brake parts with highly developed skills in the following areas:
EXPERIENCE
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN, BWI GROUP (DELPHI), DAYTON, OHIO 1993-PRESENT
Currently working at Chassis Systems Technical Center in the Controlled Damper group using MTS servo hydraulic equipment to test and evaluate suspension components. Prior to this position, I worked in the Noise Vibration & Harshness Group and also the Passive Damper Group (all at CSTC). All the positions, combined, have encompassed testing or evaluating of all the various BWI (Delphi) related automotive components.
Current Position Accomplishments
•Work in the Suspension Group using MTS servo hydraulic and other test equipment to test and evaluate shock and damper suspension parts and individual components.
•Evaluated fasteners for the rod tenons of all production dampers utilizing a fastener system and load ring.
•Operated and repaired Wolpert Spring Tester that was used for the side load analysis and evaluation of all the various springs for the automotive dampers.
•Worked in the NVH & Analysis Group on noise issues that pertained to all of the BWI (Delphi) related automotive components (brakes, mounts, suspensions, motors, sensors etc…).
•Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the NVH dynamometer that was utilized for noise issues or improvements of the various brake platforms.
•Work closely with NVH Engineers and/or various brake or suspension group Engineers on production or customer related noise crisis problems using data acquisition equipment to track trends and for analysis.
FURTHER EXPERIENCE
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, ADVANCED CONCEPTS DIV., MEAD CORP. DAYTON, OHIO 1988-1992
Worked with confidential new market driven concepts, documented and performed experiments with formulations utilized to create paper coatings and battery technology. Maintained and operated test equipment (pilot coater and mixer, vacuum atmosphere glove boxes, water titration systems, various electrochemical and frequency analyzing systems, computer driven analog and digital recorders, ultraviolet and electron beam curing systems, MK sheet former, and TAPPI testing equipment).
SR. TECHNICIAN, NCR MICROELECTRONICS, DIV., NCR CORP. MIAMISBURG, OHIO 1976-1988
Tests included, qualification testing (mechanical, environmental, electrical, etc.) on various micro circuit packages and packaging houses per MIL-STD-883 and MIL-M-38510 and failure analysis on devices that failed during qualification or evaluation testing. Completed environmental stress testing and interpreted and wrote reports on compiled test data. Developed and completed various experiments essential to yield process improvements necessary to meet customer specifications.
