Duties: Supervise a crew of electricians and a crew of process instrumentation technicians on a natural gas processing plant expansion project. Each crew consisted of three apprentices, three journeymen and a lead man. Major responsibility was in coordinating permitting process, coordinating work progress with other trades, ordering materials, scheduling, personnel functions and cost management. Project came in on time and under budget.
Reason for Leaving: Lay-off. Project complete. Company has no new projects in foreseeable future.

Duties: Maintenance of existing electrical and instrumentation installations in a refinery type operation (most areas classified Class 1-Div. 2); supervision of electricians, apprentices and contractors; assist engineering in identifying areas needing improvement electrical representative for LOTO concerns; electrical representative to plant safety committee. Operating system was A-B SLC500 with Controllogix. Majority of process instrumentation (flow, level and pressure) were HART complaint. Product tanks level instrumentation varied between ultrasonic, radar and guided wave radar. Calibration tools were a PC, Fluke 744, HART 375 communicator, 4-20ma signal reader/generator and common DVM. All standard electrical tools and instruments were also used.
Reason for Leaving: Concerns about the lack of a safety mentality. Company future is questionable.
