Psych ER – LPN:
Documenting patient arrival time, time seen by MD and time out, diagnosis and referral plans
Dispense medications for agitated patients, along with “fit for confinement” patients
Work along side social workers to determine best plan of action for patients that require detoxification or rehabilitation programs and/or children with special needs
EKG’s, blood work and urinalysis on all admitted patients
Transport admissions to appropriate units with security
Work closely with Police officers when special accommodations are needed for prisoners

Dispense medication
De-escalating agitated patients, crisis intervention
Complete flow sheets, monitor blood glucose, all medical issues clients have.
Participate in community meetings and level groups.
Adult Psych unit:
Implement and work closely with physicians to adjust treatment plans
Dispense medications, admissions and discharges planning, de-escalate agitated patients, monitor blood glucose, Implement and chart seizure and fall precautions along with all medical emergent needs.
