Job Description:
Assigned in the Boiler area of the plant, Electro-Static Precipitator (ESP), Bottom Ash Handling System, Fly Ash Handling System and Compressed Air System.
Undertake Testing and Commissioning activities in line with the specific site requirements. Monitors progress, records all test results, witness final testing and acceptance of equipment and compile all documentation for inclusion in the site test.
Monitors Boiler’s thermal expansion during operation and assess its behavior based on the allowable thermal expansion of the boiler.
Conducts rigid inspection of equipment to assess its condition based on the required parameters before boiler start-up.
Monitors equipment actual performance parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate and vibration during operation and compare it with the Distribution Control System (DCS) data.
Performs vibration testing and analysis of rotating equipment and interprets its result to provide appropriate method to improve its performance.
Conducts maintenance activities like motor alignment, greasing of bearing, belt tensioning, changing of oils, bearing replacement and other related works.
Performs inspection on boiler tubes including its welding, thickness and other parameters in lined with QA/AC Department to assess its condition in order to provide specific repair procedures based on accepted codes and standards.
Performs inspection on boiler refractory to assess its current condition in order to provide appropriate repairs.
Monitors boiler repair works including the type of material used, welding procedure and non – destructive testing methods to be conducted as per standards.
Coordinates to the Managers about the daily schedule of activities as per meeting and prepare a schedule of task assigned to each personnel designated to that area.
Review construction plans and P&ID as well as Flow Diagram for each system.
Prepares progress reports of activities in lined with the target schedule of completion.
Prepares reports for defective equipment to address it to the subcontractors in order to make necessary repair as per their contract.
