Safety officer for Gannon & Dunkerly Co.Ltd: 1 year & 8 months experience in ONGC Mangalore Petrochemical Ltd, construction project; from august 2010 to April 2012.
Safety Officer for SKE&C-KCT (JV) in underground crude oil cavern construction project at Padur (ISPRL GOVT. undertaking) since April 2012 to May 2013.
Senior Safety Officer for Al Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading: Since 1 June 2013 to till date.
Job Profile:
Assist HSE department in maintaining company certification to, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
Assisting HSE department in developing, maintaining, updating, circulating and educating Employees on HSE Policies, Manuals, Guidelines, specifications, Standards, Procedures and checklists
Ensure safety working conditions at work premises & assist the management in all HSE Risk management for all projects.
Work out safety plans for the operations & projects.
Monitor the implementation & operation of safety rules & regulations and ensure no activity will damage environment quality.
Responsible for day to day inspection & prepare periodical reports; ensure that HSE system keeps required standard.
Ensure correct reporting for accidents & other dangerous occurrences & the certification of equipments and devices.
Scrutinize operations on sites with regard to safety systems of work including protective equipments, materials & sub contractors.
Ensured that all statutory documents are correctly maintained at all times & made available to the Company at all times & their parties on request.
Educate employees how to be precautious on “exposure to toxic & hazardous substances” and to take precautions.
Ensure that each project site complies with relevant environmental regulations regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal.
Inspect fire extinguishers & fire fighting equipments, machineries & tools to ensure safe operation.
Ensure that all hazards are identified and all preventive and mitigation measures are taken.
Compiled Safety Statistics on injuries, near-miss, incidents & recommend safe working practices wherever necessary.
Prepare permit & issue permit for work inside the project site.
Implement a proper waste management system; housekeeping system in work places, accommodation & maintain social hygiene.
Carried out “job safety analysis” for selected jobs.
Maintaining stock in ware house and verification of stock inward and stock outward
Prepare for safety drills in case of fire, in case of man overboard and in case of abandon ship.
To maintain the fire extinguishers and fire equipment’s like hydrants and smoke sensors Training the company personnel for fire, health and emergency situations.
Maintain the Smoke Detector, Heat Detectors, Fire Alarm, Breathing Apparatus & fire pumps.
To control unsafe work practices.
To conduct Preparing job safety analysis. Organizing emergency training like mock drill.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Successfully achieved ISO 14001:2004 & OSHAS 18001:2007 certification
Successfully achieved 9milion safe man hours in underground crude oil cavern construction project at padur.
