OBJECTIVE

To join an organization that optimizes its Human Resource structure in line with the current labour legislation in order that all stakeholders benefit from good Corporate Governance. As someone who has achieved much in my previous employment, I would like to contribute towards making this happen through effective and efficient Human Resource Management.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE/ EXPERIENCE

April 2008 to present – Voluntary work (Current – Assistant Treasurer)

-Monthly analysis of church funds and producing reports.

-Ensuring that funds are not misused and are properly allocated to each department.

-Ensuring the achievement of data capture of all donations and issuing of receipts weekly.

-Issuing out cheques to various stakeholders.

Other activities undertaken

- Teaching young children gain spiritual and social life skills to aid in their becoming upstanding citizens for the future; after undergoing a Master Guide course provided by the church (for a period of a year & half from Jan 2011 to mid 2012) in various aspects of Leadership.

Human Resources Officer - Shepco, a division of Shemax Trading cc (Jan 2000 to Feb 2008)

Human Resources functions:

My contribution in the company was to assist in the establishment of an HR department in a company which previously had none. My duties included:

-Effective Payroll administration and addressing all queries;

-Maintenance, updating and safekeeping of personnel and administration files; (safekeeping of all job descriptions and specifications for all positions within the organisation);

-Drawing up and maintaining contracts and appointment forms for all employees; -

-Attending to disciplinary matters and making recommendations to management; ensuring that the organisation is adhering to government regulations in its operations; Interpretation and advise on all statutes relating to Human Resources;

-Ensuring that all employees adhere to all safety regulations;

-Maintenance and processing of staff leave;

-Compilation and submission of all personnel statutory returns;

-Recruitment of staff – for vacant posts and carrying out reference checks prior to appointment;

-Verification and highlighting observations pertaining to Succession planning forms, and Performance Review forms, with regards to Junior employees calculation and processing of Acting allowances;

-Assisted the relevant Heads of department conduct and complete Exit interviews;

-Compiling a list of members of staff qualifying for long service awards and making the necessary salary adjustments.

Supervision functions:

- I supervised the Receptionist as well as General Cleaning Staff.

Personnel and Administration Clerk/ Secretary Functions:

-Maintenance of company assets and updating the Asset Register;

-Handling Insurance of motor vehicles and all other assets, including claims;

-Arranging meetings and taking down minutes;

-Typing all correspondence for the Managing Director;

-Maintaining the files, making travel arrangements for the Managing Director;

-Assisting at Reception (including receiving visitors, operating the switchboard, operating the fax machine and photocopier in the absence of the Receptionist and during breaks).

Wages Clerk - Sunsand Manufactures (January 1996 to December 1999) –

- This is where I basically learned more of practical Human Resources Administration.

SAQA NQF level 6

Diploma in Personnel Management (IPMZ) - This is a follow-up professional qualification earned at the Institute of Personnel Management of Zimbabwe, at which I was a member.

HND Human Resources Management (Bulawayo Polytechnic)
