Maintained a three node database cluster that had 10 database instances running across the three nodes. Documented all processes running on the database cluster and provided technical assistance in keeping the cluster active and running. Performed performance review and updates to the elements of the cluster to ensure optimal performance.

Re-architect the data structure of an existing to support additional data requirements being driven by software development. This includes supporting major enhancements, creating a logging mechanism and ensuring database performance. Provided database consulting services for companies in the mid to large size range. Key areas included data warehouse design and management, performance tuning and database monitoring. This warehouse was in innovative way to use data from numerous disparate platforms ranging from AS/400 to MySQL to other SQL Server platforms. Co-founder of 360Facility, LLC a provider of work order management software for the property management and service provider industries. Designed and coded original system, performed database analysis and implementation of system. Robert also set the overall technical directions and standards for the company. Robert continued on as developer, DBA, Data Architect, Director of Operations, and Director of the Company, helping to manage the day to day running of the company. Eventually, Robert specialized in day to day and long term management of over 600 individual databases running on the MS SQL Server 2008 platform. Robert managed the update from SQL Server 2005 to 2008 as well. The system leveraged both private cloud based and dedicated servers to achieve optimal performance for the SAAS client base.
Robert led a design team to design the initial and subsequent data architecture releases. Robert also worked on the stored procedures, functions, triggers and functions that were the backbone of the internal system.
Responsible for managing production databases, establishing appropriate software and hardware and procedures to minimize downtime, and maximize throughput.
Managed all master data elements across DB servers to provide a central management point for all clients, with no chance of cross access from one client to another.

Designed project plan and architected an Active X subsystem of a CD-ROM system for a major publishing company. Wrote back-end code, set up data to make it accessible to the system. Was responsible for guiding the system testing and for the system implementation.
Improved VB and C++ coding and made credit card validation system more efficient for an oil company’s point of sale system. Redesigned the system process; utilized Active X to offload processing from a Visual Basic front-end, with the realized goal of making the process an Active X object
Responsible for finding and correcting a problem with a complex system utility which loads code into telecommunication devices for a telecommunications hardware manufacturer. Troubleshot, tested and fixed problem and ran through field beta tests.
Additionally, assisted in adding new features to a configuration tool. Currently rewriting this tool using Visual Basic 5.0/6.0, using Active X through Visual Basic as well as Access database and C++.
Designed and ran system test on a tracking system for a manufacturer of retreaded tires. Tested multiple formats and configurations.
