RELATED EXPERIENCE
Sherex Fastening Solutions Six Sigma Black Belt Intern Tonawanda, NY September 2015 – Present.
Reduced the Cycle time of ECN process from 25.12 days to 2 days by employing Six Sigma Methodology.
Leveraged the statistical Software Minitab to conduct the graphical data analysis and used Process Map to identify the process inefficiencies.
Root Cause Analysis was done using the tools, ‘Cause and Effect Diagram’, ‘5 Why ’ and ‘Cause and Effect Matrix’.
Applied ‘PFMEA’ to find the potential failure nodes in the process.
Used Improvement Selection Matrix to select the best fit solution among the proposed solutions. Volkswagen India Intern Pune, India June 2013 – September 2013.
Improved the training class efficiency at the Volkswagen Training Academy using Six Sigma Methodology.
Performed graphical data analysis on the performance of 150 students in the class room examination and thereby ‘5 why’ to identify the root cause.
It was the found out the improper inventory management in the storage area as the root cause, as the class time was wasted in searching for the cut models and engine parts used for demonstration in the class.
Implemented ‘5S’ principles in setting up the inventory and thereby saving 10 min of class time, which was otherwise spent in search of engine models for in class demonstration. PROJECTS
A Six Sigma approach to solve the inventory management problem at ‘AMBuild’ Construction Company. MAY’15- August’15 The State University of New York at Buffalo.
Employed DMAIC methodology to reduce the financial loss caused due to improper inventory management.
Project Selection Matrix is used to select the problem, 5 why diagram is used to find the root cause, Pareto analysis is conducted to determine the best arrangement of the inventory and control plan was developed to set standard operating procedures for the process.
Application of Design of Experiments to achieve the desired flight time of 5 sec by varying the dimensions of a paper Helicopter. MAY’15-August’15 The State University of New York at Buffalo.
A 2 level 7 factors, 1/8th factorial experiment is run to find the factors that has major effect on the flight time. Response optimizer tool in Minitab was used to find the best combination of factors.
Measurement System Analysis was conducted to validate the measurement system used to calculate the flight time recordings.
Statistical Process Control was done to check if the outputs were in control. A Case study on the measures taken by ING insurance company to reduce the application cycle time using an A3. April’15-May’15 The State University of New York at Buffalo.
Background of the company and Current conditions of the company were identified and the improvements which the company wanted to see in its process were grouped under the ‘goals and targets’ section.
The causes for the slow application cycle time were grouped under analysis section and the proposed counter measures were grouped under a section.
The plan to implement the counter measures and to sustain them were grouped into 2 different sections.
