Accomplishments

Worked numerous improvements that exposed opportunities in Materials Handling, Layout, Material Waste Reduction and Elimination, Change Over/Setup Reduction, Technology, Quality, Safety and Supplier Opportunities. The Kaizen process is one of these techniques that can be used for this purpose.

Held purchasing negotiations with major suppliers that yielded an annualized savings of 1.3 million dollars of savings and amounted to approximately 10 percent saving during last Fiscal Year of operations.

Created and implemented inventory techniques and systems that improved finished goods inventory from 50% in 1995 to 95% in 1999 then to 99.9% in 2001. We eliminated fiscal inventories in 2001 saving one week of operational down time.

Decreased inventory (WIP from 750K to 200K dollars) and (finished goods from average 2.5 MM to 1.5 MM dollars) through better production scheduling techniques even with the number of SKU (going from one brand to four brands in 2007) increasing about 250% and significant increase in the variation in product demand in all products but especially in the higher price points.

Obsolescence in WIP core parts was 500 thousand dollars in 2003 but was reduced to less than 10 thousand dollars by using better production scheduling techniques and controls that committed to products at the optimal time and maintain every year through my employment.

Increased customer service levels from 60% to 95% over a two year period (2001 through 2003) and decreased inventory (2.5MM to 1.5MM) at the same time by using better product replenishment methods and maintain from 2003 through my employment.
