Project: Broker Order Processing Sys

Financial Pacific Insurance Company is a commercial property and casualty insurer headquartered in Rocklin, California. Financial Pacific’s product mix is designed to fit the needs of a diverse range of manufacturers and service providers. The primary objective of project was to design and implement Financial Pacific’s largest Oracle on-line transaction processing system in Oracle PL/SQL.

Responsibilities:

Interacted with users to understand the business requirement.

Developed the ER-model and normalized it to the 3NF.

Checked the model for entity integrity and referential integrity.

Worked thoroughly on PL/SQL, Tables, Views, Synonyms, and Indexes.

As a part of this project I have authored several stored procedures, functions using PL/SQL and handled enormous amount of data loading into Oracle databases using SQL*Loader.

Analyzed the existing Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Cursors. Worked thoroughly on performance issues.

Worked extensively on Exception handling. Used SQLERRM and SQLCODE to trouble-shoot PL/SQL code.
