Complete life cycle development included requirements gathering, coding/development, testing, and training.

Responsible for complete redesign of existing Access 2000 database for tracking information for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Real Estate Unit.

Duties included GUI interface design, conversion of old DB into new DB format (new tables, forms, reports, VBA code, etc.), complex VBA coding to accommodate various business processes, end user training and support. Created a custom report filtering interface where filters were saved and a menu was created showing filters by user and by report.

Lead Programmer

Completed upgrades of multi-million dollar Cable & Wire management software, called ‘Asset Manager’, used for data, voice and cable connectivity tracking (Access97 and VB6.0). Included e-mail functionality, registry editing/adding using the MAPI32.DLL, AdvAPI.DLL, and various other DLLs with the use of VBA coding.

Responsible for design and maintenance of over 35 relational tables, 200 queries (union, update, delete, and select), 50 reports of which users were able to create customized filters that could be saved and re-run via the report manager, 20 macros, and approximately 15 detailed and sophisticated modules (4 class level).

Created and implemented customizable labels for form and report viewing/printing.

Created custom error handling procedures that logged specific information about the error and allowed users to give a more detailed explanation of what they were doing when the error happened. This was put into report format that was emailed automatically to the support technicians.

Upgraded and maintained custom Import/Export OCX and DLL for use between Access and Visio applications.

Used third party tools (True DB Grid) to further enhance capabilities of VB product.

Upgraded product to interact with MS SQL database and C++ application via ODBC connectivity.
