The facilities equipment maintenance supervisor manages and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of equipment and machinery, including Robots, Plc control systems, Welder controls, production lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. Also coordinates the work of employees who is repairing and maintain equipment and machinery. Essential Functions- Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime hours. Coaches, counsels and manages performance of employees. Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment. Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed. Prepares Work request and Ordering of parts as needed. Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.

Maintenance Technician, VA Medical Center; San Diego, CA 4/2012-12/2013 (WG-09)

The maintenance technician performs journeyman level work in a variety of trades. Construct items such as cabinets, doors, windows, steps, staircases, floors, floor coverings, and carpet and/or tile. Paint materials such as building structures, signs, frames, and floors following accepted trade practices and standards that insure surfaces are fully coated, protected and free from drips and runs. Track inventory of materials entering and leaving warehouse or stockrooms. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding and wire brushing. Measure, cut, construct, install, repair, and modify wood or composite where accuracy is within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product.
