Responsible for Design and Automation of Annealing Lehr using Solidworks.

Duties and responsibilities:

Study of input drawings through AutoCAD.

Creating 3-D parametric models using Solidworks.

Implementing relations between the parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies using design tables.

Manual testing of GUI.

Generating parts, sheet metal parts, assemblies and BOM for all conditions of the parameters.

The application contains GUI screens at the front end which enables the user (engineer) to set the parameters in several steps. The values which have been entered in GUI screens will be passed to the parameters of the parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies which have been created using Solidworks through VBAPI at the back end. Particular parts and assemblies are modified using parameters and the application chooses correct regenerated models. The final assembly is renamed and saved to the target directory.

Switchboard New Product Introduction (Duration: 23rd Aug, 2010-31st Aug, 2011)

Switchboard NPI project involves total redesign of Switchboard to be cost effective. This also involves integration of Global Air Circuit Breaker (GACB) into the Switchboard.

PCTO (Product Cost Take Out) (Duration: 1st Sep, 2011-11th June, 2012)

Integration of two sidewalls of Motor Control Center (MCC) casing into a single sidewall.

Bus bar optimization in GEM plus PCC: This project involves in reducing the material content in GEM plus PCC through optimization of busbar cross section and re-routing bus bar layout to optimize the bus bar length.

Responsible for Design & Automate the non standard components taking standard components as reference for Fore-Hearth (A refractory tank whose function is to receive glass from the furnace, reduce its temperature to the desired level and discharge it to the feeder mechanism at a uniform temperature)for our client EMHART, USA.

Redesigned the Sub-Structure assembly, which is one of the crucial part of the Fore-Hearth system.

Responsible for drafting of 3D parametric models of glass moulds for OMCO glass industry, Belgium.

Responsible for Design & Automate the non standard components taking standard components as reference for Annealing Lehr (whose sub-assemblies are Facade, A, B, C zones, D-zone, E-zone, RET zone, F-zone) for our client CNUD-EFCO, Belgium.

Responsible for Design & Automate the non standard components taking standard components as reference for TINBATH (The forming part in a flat glass production process) for our client CNUD-EFFCO, Belgium.

Application Goal: To create respective applications which configures the respective assemblies of TINBATH, ANNEALING LEHR, FOREHEARTH, GLASS MOULDS and DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS.

Role:

Study of input drawings through AutoCAD.

Creating 3-D parametric models using Pro-E WF 3.0.

Implementing relations between the parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies.

Coding of the relations using J-link.

Drafting of parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies for all conditions of the parameters.

The application contains GUI screens at the front end which enables the user (engineer) to set the parameters in several steps. The values which have been entered in GUI screens will be passed to the parameters of the parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies which have been created using Pro-E WF 3.0 through J-link at the back end. Particular parts and assemblies are modified using parameters and the application chooses correct regenerated models. The final assembly is renamed and saved to the target directory. Application also updates the drawings of required parts and assemblies and stores them with the final model.
