Customer Service! Run a successful child care center for 16 years, staffing for 22 or more teachers including scheduling lunch breaks and ensuring classrooms are covered to ratio. Hiring, training, and firing of teachers, billing and collecting tuition from families, planning curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, planning and presenting staff meetings, payroll including calculating and approving staff time cards, time off requests and holiday and vacation pay. I ensure that the center and staff continuously adhere to State Rules and Regulations and discuss improvement strategies with our Licensing Representative. Tour new families and enroll them ensuring all proper enrollment requirements are met and child is acclimated into their classroom successfully. Took courses to gain my director certificate to be able to teach Kindergarten and run the child-care center. Continue to take courses for my continuing education classes required by the state of Colorado. Certificate consists of 14 3 credit courses in ECE.

COMMUNICATION

Each month Staff meetings are required and I present the meetings in front of 20 or more staff. Training on topics such as Supervision, Health, Sanitation, Grants, Food Service, Safety and Policies and Procedure. Planning and implementing Summer Carnival and Fund Raiser, Halloween Carnival and Christmas Program and Party for staff and students.

LEADERSHIP

I was hired at the child care as the cook, then quickly was moved into a classroom. Interested in improving my skills, I applied for a scholarship and began my ECE classes as Kindergarten was where I wanted to teach, and ran a successful kindergarten program for 6 years. Once there was an opening, I was promoted to Assistant Director where I was assistant for 5 years, then promoted to Director.

I do direct selling with Thirty-One Gifts selling the product and running/managing my own business since September 2013.
