Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess patient status for underlying signs and symptoms to facilitate tailored fit interventions and notify physicians of clinical changes.

Educate patients/families on health care needs, conditions, and options.

Keep patient charts confidential to other not related to care.

Perform clinical tasks according to hospital policies.

Assess patient conditions and advised of changes in status.

Assist patients and family members in the education of health care needs.

Educate patients for home care in promoting healthy environment for their fast recovery and discharge planning.

Apply nursing process such as assessment, diagnosis, planning and evaluation to promote patients optimal health.

Provide comfort, safety and welfare of each patient handled.

Monitor vital signs, blood sugars, laboratory results to facilitate referral and intervention.

Provide total bedside care and assisting patient needs

Perform physical examinations and administer medications as ordered.

Provide pre and post op education to patients and families

Administer life-resuscitating methods in cases of sudden cardiac arrests or seizures.

Observe patients for changes in conditions such as sepsis or shock and perform suitable interventions.

Maintain patient safety during course of confinement and ensure patent nasogastric tube and correct placement before initiating feedings.

Initiate blood transfusion products as ordered and secure it properly before administration thru checking serial numbers with colleagues, proper blood typing and crossmatching and observing blood transfusion reactions while administering blood products.

EMERGENCY ROOM (November 9, 2012- February 10, 2014)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Triaging and prioritizing incoming patients to emergent to non-emergent in providing care measures to maximal potential.

Assess patient carefully in providing proper care and management.

Maintain surgical asepsis during and after minor operations.

Initiate intravenous fluids as ordered.

Perform nursing procedures aseptically.

Intervene patients in case of hypovolemic shock.

Performs cardio pulmonary resuscitating techniques in case of cardiac arrest.

Check and monitor vital signs of critical patients.

Facilitate patients care during admission and secured all interventions is rendered correctly.

Administer emergency drugs as ordered.

Administer nursing procedures. Intravenous insertion, nasogastric tube insertion, and urinary catheterization.
