Personal statement
Chemist and metallurgical engineer with R&D experience within the academia and industry and experience at in the production line. I have a good knowledge of the process and institutional operation, I work equally well in a team as well as independently and I can adapt fast to a new working environment. While working in the industry I had to deal not only with the industrial processes, but also with all the data that the development of a new material/process generates. I am willing to use the knowledge that I have acquired in both fields to improve production lines and products.
Key Skills
Mechanical and corrosion tests (e.g. Charpy V-Notch, tensile test, four-point bend test, etc.) and spectroscopic techniques (e.g. NMR, FT-IR)
Researcher background
Results oriented and ability to work with different projects at the same time
Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English and Portuguese)
Computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and FlashProcess
Employment History
R&D Internship in Metallurgical Engineering (Quality Superintendence), Vallourec Tubos do Brasil, Belo Horizonte

Hobbies & Interests
I am involved with a group of tabletop gamers, in which we get together to play strategic board games at least twice a month. I like to learn and play the game in order to explain it to others, as well as play it. I am also interested in sports that are not usual in my country and I am always prone to learn a new sport or game.
