Academic Projects:

•Impact of Load Balancing Algorithms on Live Video Streaming (Sep 2015 – Present)

Simulation and analysis of the effects of load balancing algorithms on the video delivery of live video streaming.

It involves designing of a real time network of about 1000 nodes using mininet and implementing load balancing algorithms on them in order to analyze the video quality in terms of delay, downlink drop rate, jitter and latency.

Languages Used: Python; Tools: Mininet, Scapy, TC, iPerf, Wireshark

•Secure Client-Server File Transfer in Python (Sep 2015 - Dec 2015)

Implemented mutual authentication of a TCP server-client along with confidentiality and integrity of transmitted file.

It also ensured that the user password is not vulnerable to dictionary attack. Used EKE protocol where a file is securely transmitted from the server to client, only after successful mutual authentication.

•Voice Call Establishment and Forwarding over IP, and Video over IP (Sep 2015 - Dec 2015)

Implemented Voice over IP using SIP connections through hands-on experiment over Ad-Hoc networks.

Established and analyzed a Successful Call Between two SIP clients

Also analyzed SIP messages exchanged in scenarios like Busy User, Call on Hold, Call Conferencing

•Simulation of Label-switching networks using NS3 tool (Jan 2015 – May 2015)

The project aimed at studying how the label switching works in MPLS i.e. how the labels are assigned and swapped for a packet to traverse the source to destination path.

A simulating tool NS-3 was used to simulate a topology developed using a C++ code in the Linux OS (Ubuntu).

•Secured Media Sharing Server using FTP in C ( Jan 2015 – May 2015)

Developing secure file sharing system as a part of the Network Programming Course Project.

Planning to implement a multithreaded server (concurrent) which will handle connection from multiple client.

Clients can upload, download, view and share files on the server and be authenticated to have access.

•Study on Security and Cyber Security (Sep 2014 - Dec 2014)

Basic Study of Cryptography, DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service Attack), Ethical Hacking

Study of Viruses and Worms, Firewalls and Basic implementation of Reconnaissance.
