PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Robotic Layout System for TD Industries August 2015-May 2016

CAPSTONE Engineering Design Competition

UTDesign Senior Project University of Texas at Dallas

Performed in all phases of the design process (conceptual design, evaluation, testing, validation, release & implementation) of a robotic system that can read a blueprint in AutoCAD and navigate to specified coordinates while avoiding obstacles to mark locations within an accuracy of 1/8 inch.

Created CAD 3D models and 2D engineering drawings for the frame components, marking system lift mechanism subassembly and main assembly using CREO Parametric 2.0. Generated exploded views, bill of materials (BOMs) and fabrication-ready blueprints per ASME Y14.5 GD&T guidelines.

Won 1st Place out of 14 teams: Best Design Project, UTDesign Expo (Senior Design 1) and team was selected to showcase project in a promotional video for UTDesign.

Equipment Engineering Intern Jun. 2014-Aug 2014

CMP/Bond Department

Freescale Semiconductor Inc. Austin TX

Selected from 200+ applicants for summer-long internship. Gained extensive experience in equipment monitoring and maintenance for semi-conductor manufacturing processes and applications.

Installed current sensors on both spindles of a Disco grinder and integrated tool to a fault detection computer (FDC) solving a lingering abrupt overcurrent issue. Projected saving of about $35,000/year.

Tested and analyzed data of thermo-couple wafers used on both EVG and Suss bonders. Team resolved to EVG wafer type as a result of my analysis saving about $36,544 on replacement cost each year.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Robotic Layout System for TDIndustries August 2015-May 2016

CAPSTONE Engineering Design Competition

UTDesign Senior Project University of Texas at Dallas

SCOPE: Assisted in all phases of the design process (conceptual design, evaluation, testing, validation, release & implementation) of a robotic system that can read a blueprint in AutoCAD and navigate to specified coordinates while avoiding obstacles and mark locations within an accuracy of 1/8 inch.

DESIGN PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Created Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Gantt’s chart on MS Project to help with planning, design approaches and execution of tasks. Completed project within budgetary, schedule and scope constraints.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS: Conducted Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM) to support failure investigation, analyze thermal problems and optimize engineering design resolving technical design challenges. FEA procedures include structural analysis, dynamic simulation of virtual models, stress, fatigue and failure analysis.

DRAFTING DESIGN: Created CAD models and drawings for the frame components, marking system lift mechanism subassembly and main assembly using CREO Parametric. Generated exploded views, bill of materials (BOMs) and fabrication-ready blueprints per ASME Y14.5 GDT guidelines.

QUALITY ASSURANCE: Assisted in creating a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), manufacturability and integration capability of design components. Conducted repetitive tests and computational adjustments to ensure reliability and durability.

RESULTS: Won 1st Place in Fall 2015 (Senior Design 1) UTDesign Expo and team was selected to showcase project in a promotional video for UTDesign.

Motor Boat Propeller Shaft Design December 2014

Designed and modelled a motor boat drive shaft in intricate Y14.5 GDT guidelines using SolidWorks. Generated mechanical computations and made necessary adjustments to ensure failure prevention and maximum efficiency. Supervised and collaborated team to fabricate parts out of stainless steel on a 5-axis milling and lathe machine. As a result of my design alterations, we maximized efficiency while conserving project budget.

Airflow over NACA 2411b Airfoil Model May 2014

Performed a Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis on a 2D section and 3D profile of NACA 2411b airfoil using ANSYS Fluent in converging, diverging and turbulent (k-ε model) flows over backward facing step. Lift and Drag forces as well as coefficients were computed on an 8 angle of attack.

Miniature Satellite Model May 2014

Modelled some components of a satellite model using a high order parametric polynomial equation to generate a Hermite curve on which the curvature of the components were derived. Collaborated with team to print model on an Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) 3-D Model Prototyping Machine.

Designed a suspension system of an off-road vehicle December 2010

Used CATIA V5 to design the chassis mount, A-arms, and wheel carrier. Performed a stress and finite element analysis on the A-arm. Revised original design to improve efficiency by implementing a modified spring-damper combination to the system and simulated the suspension using the kinematics workbench on CATIA V5. As a result of my revisions previous benchmarks were out performed.

STRENGTHS:

Attention to detail Sensitivity to deadlines Productive time management Effective communication

Organization skills to maximize efficiency Problem solver Professional Balance Esprit de corps
