Saudi Telecom Company (STC), the largest telecommunications company in the region, giving GSM and Landline services across the Saudi region. STC houses ICMS – Integrated Customer Management System as sole system that caters to all landline users in the region having 100% users base in landline technology.

STC ICMS product is build using AS400 technology in RPG, RPGLE, CL, Websphere MQ Series and others flavours of AS400 technology. Provisioning, Customer Management, Plant, Usage and Billing are the major components of ICMS.

Description :

RLM is an integrated solution designed specifically to address the needs of the global fashion manufacturer and retailer brands. This integrated system consists of modules needed by an apparel company. The modules like EDI Interface communicated with external VAN system to send/receive the EDI documents from various Trading partners setup in the system for EDI documents interchange. Documents include – 810, 820, 832, 846, 850, 852, 855, 856, 860, 870, 997 etc. Inventory management enables user to keep check on the available inventory, the inventory to be ordered and other related aspects. Similarly it provide solutions to accounting, apparel branding, manufacturing, logistics and distribution, Order Management Credit Management, e-Invoicing, Email-Alerts, Shipping, Physical Inventory, Cut and Sold, Credits and returned Inventory, Account Receivables, Finished Goods Production, UPC management, etc with its closely packaged system.

I had worked on the EDI interface of the RLM system where the EDI documents such as 850, 860, 997, 932, 812 etc are exchanged between the system and the trading partners.

Responsibilities:

Map out communication protocol and points of communication between company and client.

Enhancement to daily reporting needs to validate each EDI document received and send correctly to VANs.

Creation of new Dashboard for Customer care team to verify each Purchase Order is processed completely or not. This was one of the major projects delivered alone as clients EDI processing sometimes process partial POs which is a huge loss to Customer and loss of credibility to TPs.

Operations form the part of the team that is located at the customer site and gives customer technical support. This team also works for solving nubridges’ customer queries and concerns.

The offshore team based in gurgaon for Quality and support works for technical and functional problems that are not directly linked with the nubridges’ customer.

Nubridges provides Business-to-Business secure communication products and software that secures the data in organization when it is stored or during its transit. The products available are build on different platforms and provide data security in the form of encrypting the data using a key and then deciphering.

My responsibilities as an Associate Team lead goes in taking care of the products build on AS400 platform. I was working on the one of the Product introducing some code enhancements and existing code maintenance. I worked on Java-AS400 integration where we have to make java front end with AS400 used as a backend OS. This is done using Java_AS400 jars and methods. Few of my responsibilities are listed below :

Integrated Customer Management System (ICMS) is a support & enhancement project to support 15 clients worldwide who were using the ICMS product by IBM to meet today’s highly competitive market for customer care in the communications industry. This is a SIX SIGMA project to provide 24x7 supports to the customers. The Project has six different modules, one ES (Environment Support) team and one CA (Customer Advocate) team to provide better support to the customers. Apart from the Base mod, the project provides support to the customer on their Local mod and as well as on their Custom mod.

Responsibilities:

Resolved technical and functional problems to Support customers at their end as well as from our end.

Worked as an AS–400 developer for ICMS application development and enhancement.

Part of the development team in major development of ICMS 5.4 to ICMS 6.0 wherein the current functionality is modified to suit PREPAY, POST-PAY and HYBRID Services.

Involved in the functional and Technical changes in codes from RPG to RPGLE.

PTF creation for fixing the problems.
