Served as the adviser to the high school yearbook for 28 years in a row. Advised and edited award winning student essays, short fiction, and dramatic scripts for contests and publications: The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Teen Ink, and the Traverse City Young Playwright's Competition. One of my students gained admission to the summer novel writing program at Interlochen Arts Academy. Published three fantasy novels, several short stories, and optioned one biographical drama screenplay based on the life and times of Edgar Allan Poe.
