Job responsibilities

• Testing and performing analysis and predicting type of suspects found in rails and welds of Indian

Railways and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation with the help ultrasonic machine(Sperry Rail Walking Stick).

• Performing testing on welds, SEJ and T/Rail by hand probes using 0 degree, 45 degree, 70 degree

and tandem rings when required.

• Understanding and evaluating peak pattern found on UFD screen.

• Understanding different parameters of flaw and setting it accordingly for different types of jobs.

• Doing sensitivity setting of probes with the help of calibration block.

• Understanding of V1, V2 and Half Moon blocks in sensitivity setting.

• Getting marked defects with suitable UIC codes.

• Preparing Reports defects found and A-Scan.

• Maintenance of machine(Sperry rail walking stick).

CERTIFICATION

• ASNT Level-II certified in ultrasonic testing (Nondestructive testing) from Satyakiran school of NDT,

New Delhi.

• RDSO recertified as USFD outsourcing for ultrasonic testing of Rails/Welds.

• RDSO recertified as Welding Inspector outsourcing for hand probing of AT and FB welds.
