Project Overview:
AXIOM US Group is the regulatory reporting project of Barclays, which provides investment banking, securities services, wealth management and asset management in India to Indian corporate as well as to multi-national companies looking to build their presence in the Indian market.

Business Intelligence Group is the data warehousing project of Pearson Technology Group (PTG), which is the nerve centre for storing and making that critical and sensitive business data visible to various business users. This critical and sensitive data is received from various publishing groups within Pearson Education (PE). Using data warehousing technologies, it is then cleansed and transformed for consistency based on various business rules incorporated and distributed to different downstream applications (“Data Marts”), which are logical subsets of the complete data warehouse. Business Intelligence Group – Implementation of Global DataMart
Project Overview:
Global Data Mart (GDM) is a core application used to process the sales for all titles sold by Pearson’s 26 subsidiaries around the world (except sales of titles sold by Pearson’s US subsidiary). GDM enables business users from subsidiaries, International corporate, International finance and Sales functions to analyze and monitor indigenous and derivative title sales. Sales data for US and Canada titles from GDM is then fed to the International Data Mart (IDM). IDM processes this data and in turn feeds it to a Royalty System (used by US royalty department) in the form of electronic files, which uses this data for calculation of royalty-payout to authors.
GDM application uses Oracle as the back-end. At the front-end, it uses a web application created in VB/ASP. This is used by subsidiaries to upload their respective Sales, Title and Bill of Material (BOM) data. It is also utilized by business users for processing of records lying in suspense.

The Clinical Assessment business unit needs to have sales revenue query and reporting within the Corporate Data warehouse/Business Objects tool NOT tied to the specific invoice transaction, as currently configured. Regions and territories for tracking CA Sales revenue needs to be defined on the day of query by region and territory, defined by geographic parameters (state, counties within a state, group of states and/or counties of a state, etc.)
With this project using Business Objects tool, CA business unit wants to establish and maintain in CDW Sales Territory/Sales Personnel structure to allow Business self-service reporting. Such structure will also be used as a backbone for prebuilt (canned) reporting suite.

Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) is primarily used as an operational data store which transforms data and feed to downstream systems. CDW is the central distribution point for all SAP 5.1 data. The other sources for CDW data is from PEUOPS, STAR & MDR. It contains data related to Customer, Product, Orders, Billing and Purchase Orders. All the transformations are done on CDW in order to achieve consistency. Transformed data is then fed to downstream systems.
