Managed construction, startup and operation of chemical facilities including projects ranging from $50K up to $40 Million. Managed facilities with operating budgets of over $45 million and sales of $160 million.
Developed business that increased from $1.2 Million per year to over $6 Million per year with an increase in net profit from 3% to 8%. Oversaw the successful turnaround of a union workforce to a non-union shop. Successfully over saw the set-up and opening of a second location.
Directly negotiated contracts with clients and sub-contractors. Managed multiple jobs from demobilizing old process equipment, setting new equipment, fabricating and installing process piping, upgrading and installing new electrical distribution systems and utility systems while maintaining 21% gross profit margin.
Successfully constructed and started specialty chemical facility. Developed a worldwide customer base with an on-line stream factor for the plant of 80% of the plant capacity.
Successfully directed 6-month $1.8 million plant relocation from North Carolina, which increased production capacity from 45 million pounds to 80 million pounds. Project completed on time and in budget with no interruption in customer service or product quality. Initiated numerous cost improvements programs, which included training, yields, cycle times, raw material and freight.
Managed a staff of 57 (17 salaried, 80 hourly) with a full responsibility for this manufacturing company with an annual budget of $23 million. Promoted and transferred to this newly acquired company to bring it into our corporate philosophy. Developed the first operating budget, programs in quality (SPC, STS, TQP, procedures, and training), safety, environmental, cost accounting, sales and marketing.

Designed a $1.7 Million waste treatment system, which was constructed and successfully operated. Equipment on-line time was improved from 85% to 96% through efforts of the plant staff.
