Materials included injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming grades of polystyrene and polypropylene, virgin, post-consumer and post-industrial PET, EPS, PLA, multi-million pound purchases of additives and color concentrates, and industrial gases. Sold scrap plastic, film, corrugated and pallets. Coordinated stewardship process for material FDA and other regulatory compliance.
Managed utilization of 6 rail sidings with total capacity of 50 hopper cars of plastics. Controlled usage of 41 materials silos, with total storage capacity of ~ 11 million pounds.

Supervised 6 purchasing and 12 Materials Handling staff in 3 warehouses. Directed and controlled raw material sourcing, price negotiations, planning, scheduling, purchasing, transportation, warehousing and storage. Specified, designed, sourced, planned requirements and purchased all corrugated packaging, folding cartons and flexible packaging.
Developed competitive sources of supply and supported resin demand growth from 10M lbs in 1989 to 350M lbs in 2007, when Pactiv purchased Prairie for $1B. Operations grew from 1 plant to 7 plants in 3 States.
Achieved 100% production uptime for operations while maintaining targeted inventory turns during years of > 20% per year growth in sales.
