1.Video Hub offices Data Processing

Video Hub Offices (VHO) contain the activity logs from various Set top boxes. This data is highly compressed (.7zip files). These activity logs are first pulled using FTP pull, decompressed and loaded into HDFS. Also, Media Room reference data which comes from uDAS is loaded into HDFS. Using MapReduce programming, the analysis of VHO data is done as per requirement. Some complex data is queried using Hive and the result is displayed in Tablau.

2.Web Log Analysis using Big Data technologies.

The log files which are located on web servers are analysed to extract necessary information from

them. For this purpose, this log data is extracted and loaded into HBase using Flume with user

defined Sink. Java API is used to query this data and display the results on web UI.

The application developed helps to predict the charges for power based on the historical data using

place in coming years. Here, the past data of 5 and a half years is loaded into HBase and based on

the customer requirement the suitable offer is generated.
