PHI/CCR developed a product, which is a centralized database for California Cancer Registry. My responsibilities included migrate cancer patient’s data from all the regions into a centralized database, set up standby server using log shipping, Design and maintain the database, optimizing the Server, fine-tune Database and fine tuning Store Procedures. This migration involved working with 1 Billion records and around 200GB Database size. Implemented distributed partition views and archiving the data for improving the performance of database.
