BI-IP: NFMI Commentary Solution

The users while entering data in the workbooks not only enter numeric values but also enter commentary. Like for example if the Methane emissions for the current year are more than 110% of last year then the users are required to enter a comment to justify that value.

This comment needs to be stored in the system as well for review and approvals

To achieve this functionality, a few function modules have been developed which can write these comments in BDS(BW Document Repository) or alternatively in a DSO

The function modules are enclosed in a web service,ie, the a http web link,this link has been called in a macro embedded in the workbooks.

This macro in turn writes the comment into the BDS against the particular RU for that particular environmental parameter and for the particular values of other parameters like version, fiscal year etc.

Developed the detailed implementation plan for the project addressing both functional and technical requirements.

Developed Basic and Multi-areas, multiple Planning Levels and Packages, Functions, Parameter Groups, and Layouts.

Developed cost center planning model including three stage allocation processes.

All records entered for submission will have an audit trail built in the system. The audit trail would be another DSO which will have the same info objects as the submission DSO but with extra fields like time stamp of submission and NT id of the submitter.

The NFMI project also involves a few admin reports which give the information about users and inactive users and also about other mappings used in the system.

The Pre-canned reports are reports that the users use for referencing for submission of data and they are not input enabled.

Created head count dashboard through BEx Web application designer and published on SAP Net weaver portal.
