2000 TO 2015: THERMAL ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL, SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA 2013 TO 2015: DIRECTOR PROJECT ENGINEERING AND PLANNING A demonstrated record of success and achievement at this leading supplier of heat transfer technology, and high visibility and exposure capital projects for the company and Corporation Enterprise, to the electric power generation industry, marked by a series of promotions to positions of increased influence, authority, and accountability.

As Director of Project Engineering and Planning, fulfilled a critical role providing guidance and direction to teams of project engineers engaged in multiple initiatives, with accountability for a full spectrum of responsibilities spanning project management, contracts administration, major subcontract management programs and processes, and administrative service functions. Decision making capabilities based on in-depth knowledge of Industry Standards and Market Analysis s with ability to effectively communicate and respond to sensitive issues. Responsible for overall Department Office P&L including managing portion of the Corporate Enterprise EBITDA before all allocations.

– For each project, diligently tracked progress and compliance with respect to scope of work, budgets, timelines, and milestones; served as the primary point of contact for all issues concerning planning, scheduling, estimates, project engineering, accounting, and risk management. In depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

– Coordinated and led formal and ad hoc training to build competencies among project engineers, design engineers, and other project team members on the client and company side; trainees included plant operators in Slovakia and engineers at the Shanghai Electric Co, Harbin, Hitachi, Toshiba, Kobelco, Entergy, FP&L, Shaw Stone & Webster Inc., Duke Progress, Bechtel and many more.

– Addressed and resolved issues with the potential to affect project outcomes, collaborating extensively with plant owners, engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance employees.

– Successfully achieved all project milestones and deliverables for over $70MM in domestic and global projects, capturing profits of more than 30%; key projects included large turnkey projects, such as Moisture Separator Reheaters and other utility capital projects for domestic and global energy fleets.

– Facilitated the award of a contract for four Moisture Separator Reheaters for ENEL/Slovenske Elektrarne, valued at over €6M with approximately 28% gross margin.

– Implemented Earned Value Management (EVM) in order to measure project performance indicators of scheduled for fabrication and managed in yearly capacity planning and absorption for a facility capable of delivering 200k+ man-hours.

– Managed development, testing and implementation of automated document control system (DCAP) as part of Corporate Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). 2007 TO 2013: GENERAL MANAGER PROJECT ENGINEERING

Led vision, strategy, and execution of all technical facets of projects performed by the Moisture Separator Reheater Technology and Advanced Programs Division (MSR), ensuring the Code compliance and complete satisfaction of clients that included Souther California Edison, Entergy, Southern Companies, Florida Power & Light, Duke Power, Detroit Edison and many others. Tracked each project to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.

– Met the challenge performing a preliminary technical review of the Terms and Conditions of all contracts governing projects ranging from 18 months to 3 years, with budgets of up to,or exceeding, $40MM; identified all necessary technical resources and assigned project engineers, project managers, and designers prior to forwarding agreements to the Legal department.

– Verified and approved initial and conceptual design layouts to guide design engineering detail fabrication, mechanical, vibration, thermohydraulic.
