Responsibilities: For assisting the engineering department to produce method statements, risk assessments etc., site liaison and site co-ordination.

Receiving design documents and reviewing the same.

Preparing technical submittal and taking approval from consultant according to the project specification.

Reviewing design drawings and prepare detailed shop drawing accordingly and taking approval of that.

Co-ordinate the HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting works along with the civil trades (Architectural and Structural).

Follow the delivery of the material as per the Tender specifications.

Allocating the man power according to the site activities and work priorities.

Preparing weekly / monthly reports.

Reporting to the project Manager/ Operation Manager.

Preparing cost analysis for any additional works.

Approval of the works done through consultant inspections. Raising RFI, inspection for work done, inspection for material etc.

Preparing all the document for DEWA, CIVIL DEFENCE and DM inspection and follow their comments.

Preparing as built drawing, O & M manuals.

Following and attending consultant snags and closing the same, obtaining completion certificate.

Job description:

As a Mechanical Engineer I have overall responsibility for all estimating jobs, under my control, reporting directly to the Project Manager and/or Construction Manager.

My duties include but would not be limited to the following:

Co ordination with the Planning & Engineering Team for the basic design of the project

Co ordination for Drawing Approvals From the Consultants

Quantity Take off of Ducting, Piping, Insulation, fire pipe (G.I),& All Valves

Assigning works to Business Associates for Carrying out ducting, piping, insulation, pump room installation, electrical & fabrication works as per approved layouts & specification.

Managing a team of Site supervisors and giving guidance in technical aspects to achieve target on time without compromising the quality while executing the projects.

Coordinating with Sales Team, Planning Team and Materials Team in executing the projects as per schedule.

Preparation of Construction Program, reviewing the project progress daily/ weekly, attending the project meetings to meet customer requirements & achieving for on time completion.

Coordinating with various trades to expedite works and to avoid repetitive works.

Corresponding with the Customers & Consultants at various stages from project execution to handing over.

Preparation of handing over document with the following details

Material inward check list

Equipment Installation check list

Quality check list – each stage of the completion of the work

Commissioning report signed by the consultant and facility team

Snags list signed by the consultant and facility team

Equipment & valve list

Photographs of the installed equipment
