Led the Information Technology Division, with multiple departments (Telecomm/ Audio Visual) and staffing responsibilities. Managing responsibilities encompass a $14 million dollar budget, 70 direct reports, and a largely outsourced consultant staff to deliver a highly available clinical system to over 6,000 clinicians across multiple facilities. Implemented and supported a complex multi-vendor computerized EMR. Instituted a detailed strategic plan align with the business objectives, which provided greater integration and collaboration across various clinical service lines resulting in improved healthcare. Established measurable progressive system advancements, all while complying with regulatory requirements that included HIPAA, CMS, DOH, and Federal/State/City guidelines. Led the I.T. Division in areas of design, planning and technology implementation during the construction of several new hospital buildings supporting all inpatient and outpatient care. Member of the strategic clinical workflow redesigns team. Relocated 7 critical care departments and 19 inpatient units with all systems and applications while experiencing no adverse impact on hospital's workflow or patient care.
Upgraded hospital’s technical network infrastructure to address growing application capacity needs such as wireless connectivity increased bandwidth requirements and to improve reliability. Successfully replaced aging equipment with minimal business interruption.
