Personally Speaking

I am known as a true people person, intent on optimizing the strength and morale of our human capital. I made it a point to try to know every one of the 1,500 people in the organization. I thrive on contributing directly to personal growth of others through the passions of my teaching, mentoring, and personal involvement.

People consider me an exceptionally attentive listener and have great relationship skills. I can facilitate open communication across all levels and divisions, and ensure the establishment of truly harmonious working relationships.

I’m that roll-up-your-sleeves type of manager, always pitching in, even outpacing staff and delivering packages during a busy holiday season to make sure we met all deadlines which hadn’t been the reliable outcome in years past.

From my experience in industrial engineering, I learned every process imaginable and could measure every type of movement possible, from the blink of an eye to the wave of a hand. I’ve developed a sixth sense for how delivery routes should be plotted for optimum time- and cost-savings.

I have been viewed by top leadership as most capable to salvage or restore relationships and fix operational bugs, and have made constructive changes that have endured at every location I’ve worked.

While my work has been increasingly gratifying, one of the most important highlights of my career is having been intensely involved in IMEC, a collaborative nonprofit whose object is donating needed medical equipment to doctors from third world countries. Predicted to take five years, I led a team to get it up and running in just six months. The program has saved thousands of lives by providing incubators and other critical equipment to those who otherwise would not have access.

With few facilities available, found, converted and deployed an old artillery building for the purpose.
