Over eighteen years as an active member of Northeastern University and Textron Defense Systems’ FIRST Robotics Competition team, the NU-trons, as well as participating as Lead Engineer on Northrop Grumman Space Technology, Mira Costa, and Redondo Union High School’s Beach Cities team, on which I designed, developed, and integrated mechanical, electrical, optical, and software subsystems and acted as a mentor for middle, high school, and college students. I also designed and fabricated my own robot for participation in the 2006 Robot Wars Competition in Las Vegas. I am fluent in German, speak Dutch on a professional level, studied six years of Latin, two years of Greek, some Italian conversationally, and also speak a little Russian. Love playing all kinds of sports, going to the beach, spending time with friends, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, and building custom computer systems. I’m very interested in emerging technologies such as: multi-kilowatt through multi-megawatt laser systems, IR countermeasures for defense, tele- and satellite communications, and terrestrial, airborne, underwater, and space-borne sensing applications (i.e. DARPA/IARPA, ONR, JTO, SMDC, etc.).
