Thank you for the opportunity of presenting my CV to you. My name is Morne Malan and I am a father of four children. I am a qualified plumber by trade and have been doing plumbing since 2005. I have an excellent knowledge of plumbing and keep to all plumbing regulations. Not only do I have excellent plumbing knowledge but have got all round knowledge of all maintenance and have been in the trades all my life.
I have managed and grown my own registered plumbing company from scratch and have developed valuable growth during that time, how to deal with all kinds of situations when it comes to staff and clients a like. I am a team player, I also take the lead in the team with regards to work being done timeously, neatly and correctly.
I take pride in my work and believe that I am capable of leading others and have done so in previous employments.

I was a plumbers assistant for 3 months, because of my previous experience in the building trade, I was able to grasp concepts easily and quickly, and was therefore moved on to work unassisted and unsupervised.

I have worked mostly in the domestic side of construction plumbing, i.e the plumbing of new houses. This meant that I was part of the project from the foundation to the finishes that were installed. This included single and double-storey houses built with brick.

Promote the Fry More brand while selling and distributing cooking oil to restaurants. Build and maintain relationships with restaurant owners and chefs. Duties included:

Selling of oil to restaurants (finding new clients) Overseeing production line at factory (cleaning containers, bottling and packing stock) Toward the end of 2004, I realised that sales was not what I wanted to do for the next 5 or even 10 years. I was happy in the building industry and wanted to get back there. I decided to do my plumbing trade and approached a plumber who would employ me as an apprentice.
1998 to 1999 On-Tap Plumbing Suppliers
Internal Sales
On-Tap Plumbing Supplies is a national company with 100 stores across South Africa. Started as a Store Assistant and later promoted to a position in Internal Sales. I was fortunate to work at the first On-Tap store in Cape Town. My first duties consisted of:
Building shelves and the layout of the stock room. Maintain stock levels at all times
Preparation and packing of orders for clients
Maintain showroom displays-ensuring that the latest products were on display I was quickly promoted to company driver, my duties changed slightly and included: Collection of stock from suppliers
Delivery of orders to clients
Maintained good client relationships
From driver, I was promoted to Internal Sales and my duties consisted of: Ordering stock

Started as part of a team and later promoted to Site Manager. This role covered many different projects and many different skills were acquired here. Projects included:
