JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruitment & Selection:

Prepare, plan and budget for the overall organizational manpower requirement, develop and formulate simple recruitment strategies to enable the efficient, timely and cost effective acquisition of competent workforce, implementation of effective manpower planning, negotiation/agreement finalization with leading manpower consultants, familiar with all sourcing methodologies (paper ad, walk in, campus, placement agencies, internet, employee referral, direct etc.), facilitating post selection formalities such as salary fixation, offer generation, appointment letter issue, probation period determination, confirmation of employment, salary account opening, PF,ESI nomination, Service Agreement etc.

Induction & Orientation:

Introduce new employees with the organizational environment, exposing them to the mission, history and tradition of the organization, its achievements and future challenges, it’s personal policy and expectations from the new employee, provide opportunity to interact with other fellow employees and also with other managerial employees, explain the structure of the organization and functions of all departments, delegation of authority, personal policies, rules and regulations, job descriptions etc.

Performance Appraisal/PMS:

Design appraisal (MBO, 360 degree, formal, informal, annual, semi annual etc.), Conduct appraisals for probationers and existing employees for finding out their suitability and competence level, deciding extension/reduction of probation period, confirmation of service, termination, promotion/transfer etc., training need identification, deciding proper rewards & remuneration, increments, bonus etc.

Training & Development:

Formulation and implementation of Training Policy for the Organization, identify and analyze training needs, Prepare Training Calendar, arrange In-house Training programs by Internal Faculties/ by drawing Faculties from Outside Agencies and External Training (if necessary) programs from premier Institutions like ASCI Administrative staff College of India), Centre for Organizational Development, Indian Institute of Business Management, ICFAI,NAC(National Academy of Construction) etc, Identify and finalize the effective trainers, Negotiate price, Inform the eligible employees about the venue and time, Manage the logistics & Housekeeping for all training, Ensure appropriate classroom scheduling, coordinate lunch and transport arrangements, Update nominations, cancellations and attendance, Assisting Trainers in preparing training agenda, Making Travel and Stay Arrangement for trainers or employees if they are going outside, Gathering training material by research work, Vendor payment, Maintain training records for ISO documentation/Audit purpose, find effectiveness of training and Collect training feedback reports for further analysis and action plan.

HR Policy Formulation & Implementation:

Formulating strategy and policies with focus on aligning HR with core business, overseeing smooth implementation of HR policies for manpower planning, recruitment, selection, induction, orientation and development of employees in the organization.Generating monthly MIS on HR activities in comparison with budget and handling HR Audit functions for measuring effectiveness.

Sales HR Management:

Advising and influencing the business functions on Sales HR related matters for Branch, Support Branch Manager in planning Manpower requirements and maintain healthy occupancy rate as suggested by the management for on-roll and off-roll employees and track occupancy levels month on month, Support Target and incentive rollout for all sales team members including ensuring awareness, appreciation and alignment by sales team on the same for the branch, drive People Agenda in sales team through pre planned reach Out activities at regular intervals, Ensure & facilitate sales processes like monthly scheduling of meetings facilitating the communication flow & alignment of the entire system from HO to the field as well as providing a channel of feedback from people to the organization, Collate & Verify the monthly tour programme of the sales team in the branch & track deviations if any, Regular update on sharing HR best practices in the industry with specific reference to sales team. Facilitating in Identifying training needs for the branch & in executing training calendar for the entire sales team through internal and external resources etc.

Employee Relations:

Implementation of HR Policies and procedures in line with core Organizational objectives, coordinating with agencies for statutory compliance at all locations.Engaging the employees by their partnership in various committees. Maintain cordial relations with higher officials as well as with the workers on the shop floor or site, arrange travel and accommodation, transport facilities, take care of guest welfare, time office, salary preparation, Security arrangements, Housekeeping, Canteen, Payment of bills, effective employee grievances handling for maintaining harmonious IR etc.

Disciplinary action:

Depending on the circumstances Transfer, Demotion, Retrenchment, Termination, Suspension and Show cause in order to streamline the systems.

Separations:

Counsel the employees, prepare Final Settlement including settling the dues, recover the money in case of breaking of the service agreement, issue Service Certificate, Relieving letter Etc., Conduct Exit Interviews and implement possible changes to prevent employee turnover.

Event Management:

Organized many events like family movie show, Childrens’ day, family picnics, Better half day, founders’ day, International Nurses Day, World Health Day etc.

Compensation and benefits:

Handling employee’s salary structures, PF, ESI & Taxation issues in Coordination with payroll & accounts team.

Team management:

Imparting /organizing training programs for the team for achieving pre-planned business targets. Responsible for the One-O-One & Skip level meeting between the manager & the employees.Employee counselling & grievance handling, establishing attitude for organizational commitment thereby creating a healthy work culture and ensuring smooth operations. Conducting weekly meetings with team to keep tab on growth and target achievement.

June’2014-Till date as Executive Officer-HR & Administration in Eastern Gases Limited. Eastern Gases Ltd. (EGL) is among the largest dedicated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Company of India amongst private sector. Also dealing with Propane, Butane, Ammonia, Auto LPG and other Industrial gases.(Manpower:450+)

January’2013-May’2014 as Senior Manager-HR in Kalpataru Group, a professionally managed distribution house with presence all over India. The group deals in FMCG, telecommunication, Equity and Insurance sector. Recently launched own e-commerce segment (Kows.in) for wholesale FMCG selling. (Manpower 600+)
