QUALIFICATION SUMMARY
Ph.D./Master’s degree in Bio-Chemical Engineering, focus on Chemistry, Material Science with 8 years post Ph.D. and 12 years post Master research experience in the field of material characterization
Extensive experience in applying a variety of analytical instruments in research with demonstrated proficiency in data interpretation for more than one of the following characterization techniques including physical property analysis, thermal property analysis(TGA, DSC), elemental analysis (XRF, ICP), vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman), electron microscopy (TEM, SEM), structural determination (XRD), and surface analysis (XPS, AES)
Knowledge and experience in sample preparation and analysis of a wide variety of materials, particularly in structure and property analysis
Ability to provide day-to-day supervision of chemists and research chemists in the analytical lab
Knowledge in petrochemicals and catalysis and strong communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills to interface with project teams to understand the needs and provide total characterization solutions

Lead scientist/chemist in designing and developing of anti-cancer nanoparticles (nano conjugates of gold Nano-rod, Thermosensative Liposome and Nano-sphere) for drug and gene/siRNA/miRNA delivery
Apply the expertise in material characterization by using a variety of analytical instruments and conducting analysis on a wide range of materials including composites, and polymers
Work with research teams to develop analytical methods, deliver high quality analytical results and provide in-depth data interpretation to understand the relationships between structures, compositions and properties of the materials associated with the synthesis or manufacturing process
Acquire, use and maintain lab equipment, set up the best practice and train teammates
Stay current on state-of-the-art characterization techniques and methods, propose and implement new capabilities
Provide consultation and hands-on assistance to researches and teammates on non-routine analysis (e.g. in-situ process monitoring)
