I relocated back to my hometown of San Antonio to rehabilitate a failing team who was without a leader and had not met their start goals in over a year. I individually coached and trained the entire team who had become complacent. I instilled in the team that my industry knowledge and vision of success is what continues to drive me after 17 years of helping the non-traditional student succeed. I am a DOA that believes in leading by example. My sales team knows that failure is not an option for us and we are in this together. The winning came soon after. I gave myself start goals as well and with that team morale rose. I can proudly say that the San Antonio Campus has now moved to the #2 spot in the Schools with under 500 student population category of the Delta schools. In July we beat the previous record of the most starts in 1 week of 18 starts. My team and I had 21 enrollments in 1 week.

I took a campus that had not met budget/goals in 18 months to over sitting budgets in August and September. I was responsible for supervising day to day activities for an admissions team of 10. By training the team and individual coaching was able to turn around a team that had become complacent. This team was able to succeed through accountability and time management training. The day to day operations of a successful admissions team include electronic and print communication, training of staff, budget management, marketing plans and strategies. Through individual coaching was able to work on individual conversions to meet/exceed company minimal standards. Set-up and implemented a successful High School and referral program thus increasing student population. Created and implemented an admissions representative accountability spreadsheet to track an enrollment through the start.

I was responsible for the overall successful operation of the Admissions Department. I was able to co-ordinate with department managers to implement enrollment strategies and manage resources in order to exceed performance expectations. Within the first fiscal year was able to start 100+ students in one month. This was a first for Glendale in its history. I completely restructured the admissions department and created and implemented a successful training program for admissions personnel. I traveled to other LES schools within the Utah area to implement the hiring and training program I had had created. Successfully hired and trained 4 directors of admissions within the LES Corporation.

I began my love of admissions as an admissions representative. I was determined to take the product knowledge training provided to me along with my desire to be the best to becoming the top producing admissions rep. at the school. I was soon starting an average of 20+ students a month with a 90% show rate. Shortly after the first year I was promoted to DOA. I again was determined to be the Best DOA in the Company. I successfully hired and trained #1, 2, 3, and 5 of the top admissions representatives amongst 46 in the company. I maintained a #1 status in the East Region as the top DOA continuously. My team and I never missed a start goal and in 1999 finished +113 over the budgeted yearly goal. The San Antonio Campus maintained the #1 status in over achievement of company set goals. I was responsible for the entire set up to include hiring and training of the Houston campus to include DOA.
