Lead and managed Efficiency Improvement Program within Mills River Finishing Group using lean/six sigma strategy. Improved operating efficiency from 50% to 82% by creating a 3 cell department and streamlining processes. Reduced employee overhead by 1.25 million/year.

Lead efforts to improve efficiency and P&L performance of terminals in South America. Improved operational performance by reducing working capital and increasing efficiency of operation by improving workflow of products. 1999-2009 – Plant Manager Waynesville Extrusion Operation

Responsible for direction and administration of plant operations including safety, quality, production customer satisfaction of all polymer coated products produced at Waynesville, NC facility. Effectively manage 220 union employees.

Responsible for all aspect of P&L for extrusion operations. EBITDA of 2 to 4 Million dollars/month was achieved.

Negotiated multi- million dollar contracts with LDPE, Nylon, PET and Tie resin suppliers.

Coordinated the interaction between maintenance, engineering, operations, supply chain and logistics to ensure all manufacturing requirements were met.

Worked closely with sales and customer service to ensure all customer requirements were exceeded.

Responsible for evaluating and calculating ROI for all proposed extrusion coating capital projects. In addition, worked with other managers to evaluate potential extrusion coating acquisitions in Germany and United States.

Co-Authored a patent # US6887538 B2 - “Barrier Structure for Food”, May 2005.
