R/D Project Engineer

Work on a multi-departmental team to construct, commission and operate a 15ft. research distillation

column. Conduct distillation experiments on a mixture of high pressure gases to determine the best configuration of column internals for scale-up into production size columns. Implement safety protocols in the research areaby installing and calibrating gas monitoring equipment. Wire and incorporate toxic gas monitors into Siemens PLC System for emergency procedures. Safely work with cryogenic fluids and power tools to facilitate project execution. Schedule the commissioning and operation of the column to efficiently meet deadlines and facilitate the production of timely progress reports. Analyze data from the column and draw conclusions on which configuration is best for production needs.
