Experience/Qualities
I am currently seeking work in customer service. Having worked in the sector before, I really enjoyed the inter-personal relationships formed when dealing directly with customers either face to face, electronically or via telephone. I consider myself to be a people person, which enables me to handle and resolve customer complaints with ease and respond promptly to customer enquiries. I have experience communicating with internal and external departments as formally I have worked in a factory. Whilst working at one of Strategy’s factory, I had the role of running and maintaining the machinery, checking the goods and packaging. During my role there, I also had the opportunity to follow up stock, chasing delivery orders and ensuring distribution. In extension to this working experience, I have also spent time running the accounts side of a beauty salon, dealing in the shops finances. This involved me exchanging money with customers. As well as handling the financial side of things, I answered the phones, booking in clients and cancelling appointments. I enjoyed this as I was able to utilise my personal skills.
My latest form of work was tending a bar. During this placement of work, I had many roles and responsibilities. My favourite role was communicating with the public, especially the ‘regulars’. I built good professional relationships with staff and regular customers, always promoting a calm and friendly approach. I learnt how to accept deliveries as well as sort the stock intake. I handled money, and used my initiative to resolve complaints, even when experiencing confrontation.
Unique Qualities
I am keen to continue my professional development as I have enjoyed working indifferent types of customer services. I will continue to seek out opportunities to promote my working practice, alongside attending any courses offered as part of my professional role.
Due to family commitments, I would ideally like to find part time day work as I live at home with my two-year-old child. I am flexible for hours during week day work, and weekend work is a possibility.
