Worked in Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd. Paradip Unit, Orissa as Technician (Instrumentation) in PAP, Plant since June 8th 2005 and having total experience of 11 years 10 months experience till date April 14th 2013

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ENGINEER

1Responsible for the plant operation and maintenance activities.

2Vigilance and inspection of plant instruments and taking preventive maintenance.

3To trouble shoot the plant instrumentation problems and give suggestion to prevent them.

4To make thorough inspection of instruments & DCS during the shutdown and ensure thorough cleanness and proper mounting of the instruments as per hook- up drawings.

5To make technical presentations about the improvements carried out in the plants.

6Ensuring safety in department activities.

7Giving effective training for the trainees and sub-ordinates and colleagues.

8Man power (contract, casual) planning in running and shut down time.

9Implementing modification proposals in the plant.

10Vendor interaction and co-ordination.

11Technical bid evaluation and vendor drawing review.

12Preparation of purchase order,

13evaluation of spare parts and procurement.

14Preparing log sheets for calibration and preventive maintenance of instruments with desired frequency as per SMP'S(STANDARD MAINTENANCE PRACTISES).

1 control valve stroke checking and maintaining the log sheet -make Valtek-Flowserve, Metso-Neles, Metso-Jamesbury, Metso-Rotork.

2 Functional checking of gas detection system,Beacons and hooters through Test and Reset switches.

3 Functional checking of Fire Detection system hooters and beacons through test buttons

4. Checking, fault finding, maintaining the HVAC system

5 Reviewing the loop drawings, control circuits and implementing changes.

6 Visualizing the gas detectors value in DCS HMI and checking, calibrating, fault finding on production of alarms. Make-GE, MSA ULTIMA

7. Zero checking of all types of flow meters -mass, vortex, Thermal mass, Ultrasonic, Magnetic, DP type.

8. Checking of PSV'S as per designed pressure and maintaining it log sheet

9. Checking of pH SENSORS, Conductivity Sensors, Dissolved Oxygen sensors as per frequency and maintaining its log sheet.

10. Following SMP’s regarding Preventive Maintenance, calibration of Analyzers like Servomex 4100 series for measurement of N2O,CO2, delta F for measurement of Oxygen, Teledyne for measurement of Total Hydrocarbons, Switches make Switzer,Indfoss,Danfoss, Transmitters and other field instruments with filling the calibration records and closing the generated work order in EAM (CMMS)

11. Troubleshooting of daily Plant related problems in co-ordination with Process, Electrical,

Mechanical department for the smooth operation of plant.

12. Following the Electrical circuit for attending the problems related to Start/stop of Electrical Motors, Run Feedback, Ampere,Local stop .
