Serve as a member of the leadership team, routinely partner with management to understand organizational goals and needs, develop, and support process improvements. Ensure alignment of solutions with business strategies while establishing nurturing relationships at all levels across the organization. Workforce Planning & Development

On-boarding: forecast future human capital and suggest ideas to optimize staff levels to support business needs; develop and cultivate relationships with external sources (recruiters, college/universities and professional associations) including sourcing through industry, social media websites, and intranet/internet job boards. Screen and oversee/host high-level interviews and evaluate applicant hard and soft skills in preparation for next stage.

Streamlined and improved orientation process; revised NEO presentation (current role) and instituted NEO orientation for use company-wide (prior employment). Write and maintain job descriptions, assisting managers with updates revisions as necessary.

Off-boarding: release employees as required with tact and respect to ensure the ongoing reputation of the company as an employer of choice. Conduct exit process and follow up on identified issues. Implement future retention initiatives and improvements.

Development: work with management to coordinate and develop training opportunities for employees. Benefits & Compensation Management

Administer employee benefit programs; medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k), FMLA, short and long-term disability and workers’ compensation management, unemployment, COBRA, ERISA, and severance administration. Responsible for benefit renewal negotiations and implementation, annual enrollment, wellness initiatives and programs.

Communication and administration of performance, compensation, and bonus structures for the organization including year-end processes for merit and bonus payouts. Regulatory Compliance & Audits

EEO reporting, external and internal planned audits of personnel documents, payroll, and benefits to ensure accuracy and legal compliance pertaining to applicable federal, multi-state, and local laws. Interpret and ensure compliance of collective bargaining agreements (union environment).

Work with various line functions and outside agents to develop and implement a safety system to exceed OSHA requirements, minimize recordable accidents, control costs, and employee rewards. Payroll Administration

Oversee all matters related to multi-state (CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY) payroll to ensure accurate calculation and processing of payroll including monitor pay adjustments and perform payroll audits (pre and post processing) to ensure accuracy. Compliance and reconciliation of financial and 401(k) data, 3rd party sick pay, and garnishments. Run and customize special reports as needed.
