Experimental Model Maker III

Work with engineering in the creation of new products for the hearth industry, inclusive of building prototype models of fireplaces and gas burners for testing and industrial shows.

Successfully transitioned two companies’ product lines into one by the creation of prototypes and models.

Awarded two patents for the creation of a fire place safety barrier screen to protect persons from hot glass on fireplaces. Patented for design and Functionality.

Was also responsible for setting up the safety protocols to align with OSHA standards for the facility.

Was also responsible for the general maintenance of the facility including lighting, plumbing and electric.

Temporary assignment to IHP Russellville, AL facility

Because of my experience in fabrication and manufacturing, temporarily assign to the Russellville, AL from February 2015-August 2015

Successfully increased the quality of fabricated parts which resulted in higher quality products and increased production rates.

Supervised over 40 people on the second shift setting quality and production standards. Successfully meeting or exceeding production goals while training a person to succeed me as supervisor.

Model Maker/ Supervisor Model Shop

Work with engineering in the creation of new products for the white goods industry, inclusive of building prototype models of ranges and gas burners for testing and industrial shows.

Built prototype models for several major brand names including Electrolux, Frigidaire, Kenmore, and Tappan.

Supervised the Model Shop with up to seven Model Makers making assignments and supervising quality and production models for all brands associated.

Programed CNC machines for the production of temporary tooling.

Regularly met and discussed engineering changes with engineers and management.

Worked on special projects involving international cooperation in the manufacture of units for outside the United States.

Served as the facilitator of training for Front Line Leadership. Which taught subjects such as time management, interdepartmental cooperation, supervision and management, discipline technics, etc. In order to build an atmosphere of respect, trust and consistency in management throughout the company.
