Regional Supply Chain General Cable: General Cable August 2013 to present

executive (SSA) Reporting to Vice President with accountability for over 2 billion in sourcing, as well as working capital management and S&OP. Achievements include; Creating a regional view and organization between 4 regional manufacturing units, 6 commercial centers and linkages to Thailand and European company facilities where there was very limited integration before. Increased Johannesburg DC through put to a consistent ZAR 5m per day and improving delivery consistency without capital investment – supporting the aggressive business growth plan. Reducing Raw materials on hand from USD 9m in January to USD 4.5m in June, With line of sight and plans to <USD 3m. Negotiating price terms with suppliers to provide extended terms. Implementing a common regional planning tool, as all facilities use different accounting systems . Implemented new integrated S&OP tool compiling Sales consensus, production plans, buy assumptions and inventory impact into a single view. Linking the data to the inventory planning tool.
