Overview

The project has Onsite/Offshore Model, so team coordination is vital part of the project. This project is an outsourcing venture by Chrysler Group. Project scope starts from system analysis, Data warehouse/Marts designing, and ETL construction for various layers of data warehouse to reports and universe development, maintenance and user support for various BI applications.

The project is based on Business Intelligence technology. It involves Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) of the data from various source systems and reporting on the final data for end customer. The challenge in the project is maintaining the data accurately and presenting it to the End customer in most suitable format so that decision making becomes easy and effective.

The project spans all functional areas of business like Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance, Legal and Audit.

Description

FLEET application deals with Chrysler bulk sales/orders for fleet operations. It involves tracking of vehicle sales, shipments, orders, Chrysler incentive programs and forecasting of vehicles for USA and Canada market. The reports are used by regional managers to track the performance of Sales representatives and various FLEET incentive programs.

Responsibilities

Currently working as onsite co-ordinator and technical lead for end to end application support.

Created business glossary mapping business terms to technical reports.

Created a mapping document to explain end to end data flow for fleet business covering up streams and down streams.

Worked with external audit teams to make the application SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) complaint. These involved changing reports/jobs, adding additional checks, setting up governance and access and creating supporting documents.
