Production Manager
Oversee all activities on the plant floor for both day shift and night shift for over 85 hourly and 3 salary employees.
Responsible for the hiring, training and termination of all hourly employees.
Worked with Chicago & Midwest Regional Joint Board and Integrated Manufacturing and Assembly management staff to negotiate shop floor contract in October 2012.
Provide technical and business leadership to all departments to ensure all goals are met at a department and plant level
Assist with the Quality Department in the development of suppliers as well as supplier relations during launch as well as the life of a program. Assist with approving FMEA and Control Plan for all lines.
Oversee the launching of all new programs. Currently launching the fourth new program since being hired at IMA.
Meet weekly with the Continuous Improvement Manager to eliminate waste by driving the plant in a Lean direction. Have been integral in reducing head count by 10% in the plant this year while still hitting production goals. Assisting in multiple Kaizen projects.
Support Engineering group in time studies and rebalancing of lines to improve process flow and production output. In the processes of ensuring that every operator is at 85% or higher in utilization.
Currently leading the launch of a program that has had a 100% increase of output of seats compared to old model.
Support Human Resources and the union to resolve any conflict and assist with the handling of union grievances.
Responsible for developing world class supervisors by providing constant coaching and continuous evaluations
Assist in the development and updating of the current forecast the future budget for the plant
Work directly with the Shop Floor Union President and all union stewards to ensure the employees are treated equally, fairly and are held accountable.
Responsible for ensuring all hourly pay is accurate by using Paycor time and management system.

Responsible for all daily production, quality, housekeeping and safety activity on the plant floor
Instituted daily production goals which helped to increase jobs per hour, production efficiency and total efficiency.
Total plant efficiency went from 88% to 97% due to increased operator accountability and a greater focus on communication.
Assisted in the development of a semi-monthly union-management meeting which has helped to improve communication and overall morale
Quality efficiency went from 93% to 99% by increasing the operator awareness, posting quality alerts and reviewing standard work instructions at operator stations.
Improved hours per car set from 0.07 to 0.05 by holding operators accountable when they go over-cycle, by retraining or disqualifying operators that are struggling to meet cycle times and by developing an hourly rotation.
Developed an hourly rotation to assist operators in overall speed, ergonomic issues and morale.
