Achievements:

Profit Improvement: Played an integral role on the CBA test Process Improvement team. Made significant contributions of Profit Improvement ideas and received 2, separate recognitions from the Profit Improvement program director.

Product and Performance Tracking Systems: Designed and implemented a daily cabinet log sheet for use by the first and second shift supervisors to track their products during the assembly process. Supported engineering with the implementation of board watch onto the CBA and small assembly production lines.

Pre-Inventory and Assembly Labeling: Developed and generated blank pre-inventory tags for use during the mock inventory. These tags enabled the operation to use them during the physical inventories held in April and October. It resulted in a Great Ideas Recognition Award for the quarter. Also, developed and utilized computer generated labels which could be reproduced for efficiency.

Performance Log and Computer Program: Instituted a daily frame log sheet which was utilized to track performance levels of frame assemblers. Established a program for tracking and reporting operators’ performance efficiency and report daily workmanship defects graphically for daily quality charts.

Monitoring of Overtime and Attendance: Created and activated a system for tracking and reporting overtime percentages on a weekly basis. Established an attendance percentage reporting system, which enabled the supervisors to compute operators’ attendance percentages on a monthly basis which enhanced the program to compute operators’ attendance percentages on a 3 month rolling average.

Leadership of Quality Efforts: Led CBA mechanical assemblers in reaching a milestone for building 1,454 channel banks without quality defects. Established product verification procedure which defined the process for assembly completion and stocking into finished goods. Appointed as 2nd shift mechanical assembly champion for the PQA audit reporting. Reported the outcome of the self-audit quality performance from each group on a monthly basis. Actively participated in the Great Ideas Program and subcommittee as well as various process improvement teams.

Engineering Change Order (ECO) Communication: Participated on the Engineering change order (ECO), signoff committee. Issued bi-weekly ECO status reports to supervisors/managers, to keep abreast of changes.

Staff Development and Training: Developed a team of assemblers to implement new products into the mfg process flow. Trained Supervisors to use and develop reports and generate paperwork for submittal to the customer. Supervised 2 employees from the Access Products division, who were nominated for the DSC President’s Award.

Process Flow/Kanban: Developed and implemented a Kanban card procedure which defined the process to use when requesting parts from the company’s central stockroom. Participant in Oracle manufacturing process flow implementation team.

Manufacturing Supervisor

Monitored production of all the Access Systems products from small assembly to production of RT and COT cabinets and frames. Interfaced with all outside suppliers, confirm that all JIT Kanbans were filled daily.

Track inventory for the shop and confirmed all inventory levels were full and accurate. Ran cycle counts weekly, and adjusted inventory accordingly.

Prepared and Trained on Bellcore paperwork for submittal to the customer daily signed pre-inventory tags and computer generated labels for the assemblers.

Supervised mechanical assemblers during a 20 hour period, in order to meet revenue demands for the quarter. Created a Cabinet log sheet to track assembly products, and a daily Frame log sheet to track assembler’s performance.
