Professional Experience

MERCURY CONSULTING 01/2015 – Current

Application development, maintenance and support for an international manufacturing company using PRISM and Data3 software.

Contract Programmer Analyst

Worked with an iSeries team on the successful conversion of a DEC-VAC machine that was running MANMAN software, to an AS/400 using PRISM and JDE software.

Developed new programs and provided support for this AS/400 by creating extract files that were FTP’d to the client’s server or to Excel Spreadsheets. This included government EPA reporting, A/R Aging, Backlog and Cancelled Order files that were used for Corporate reporting of data. Maintained existing PRISM and JDE programs.

Developed and tested new programs using Data3 software for two locations within the United States for this international company. Maintained existing Data3 programs.

Provided on-going support for both PRISM and Data3 software for four cities in the US for this international company.

FTD, Inc. 10/2014 – 01/2015

Application maintenance and support for a world-wide distributor of fresh flowers using JD Edwards software.

Contract Programmer Analyst

Worked with JD Edwards V6R1M0, TOTAL400 and Implementer on an advanced IBM v7r2s iSeries in order to modernize their RPG programs from RPG3 to RPG Free.

Modified existing RPG ILE modules and procedures to RPG Free.

Created modules and functions in RPG Free for their customer directory services.

Made changes to existing RPGLE programs in order to remove obsoleted files and reports.

Worked with JDE and Implementer to remove unused program, files, reports, menus and their objects.

Within JDE software, changed menu options, glossaries and data dictionaries to reflect new instructions for user menu option program deployment.

Application development and support for a distributor of paperback and hard cover books to mass merchants, wholesale clubs and grocery chains. Responsibilities included the resolution of issues and requests, analysis and documentation of specifications and problem solutions, flow charting, programming, testing, Q/A testing and user training for the iSeries.

Programmer Analyst/EDI Administrator

Support of existing applications and development of new processes on the iSeries using RPG, RPG IV, RPG/ILE, CL and SQL Free.

Followed the company programming guidelines of required documented analysis, testing, Q/A, user approval and implementation of help desk requests and assigned projects in a SDLC environment.

Developed mapping, coding and support to extract, send, receive and process data between the primary host system and retail customer systems using GENTRAN 3.5 and bTrade TDMANAGER AS2 EDI software for B2B and B2C customers, as well as utilizing FTP.
